The Hale County Sheriff’s Dept. has released the following report of the department’s recent activity:

Arrests:

03-18-2026

  • Leon Lamar Tunstell III, 31, Tuscaloosa, was arrested for probation violation.
  • Jamarcus Smith, 32, Tuscaloosa, was arrested for failure to appear.

  • Jalen Deon Williams, 26, Greensboro, was arrested for three counts of reckless endangerment.

  • James Cook, 39, Tuscaloosa, was arrested for two counts of failure to appear.

03-21-2026

  • Marvelous Raymone Hudson, 35, Tuscaloosa, was arrested for failure to appear.
  • Buddy Phillips, 28, Gadsden, was arrested for two counts of failure to appear.

  • Miscellaneous report was taken on Brush Creek Drive near Sawyerville.

  • Drone flying was reported on Alabama Highway 69 near Gallion.
  • Domestic incident was reported on Jackson Street near Sawyerville.

  • Fraud/theft of services was reported on Jackson Landfair Road near Newbern.

  • Third-degree assault was reported on National Forest Road near Moundville.
  • First-degree theft of property was reported on Alabama Highway 14 near Sawyerville.
