Georgette Edwards Fowler died on Nov. 28 at the age of 73. She was born July 6, 1952, to the late Elijah and Georgia Brown Edwards. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Rising Star Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her father, Elijah Edwards; her mother, Georgia (Bell) Edwards; two brothers, Elijah Edwards and Ronnie Edwards; and two sons, Anthony Dewayne and Carlos Fowler.

She leaves to cherish her memory nine sisters:

  • Joyce (Johnny) Patton
  • Doris Ward
  • Delores (Buddy) Robinson
  • Jessie (Sydney) Gooden, all of Greensboro
  • Lela Hudson of Demopolis
  • Brenda Edwards, Sue Edwards, and Shari Edwards-Jones, all of Greensboro.

She is also survived by two brothers:

She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and an adopted son, Fred Evans. She is fondly remembered by her devoted cousin, Evangenia Underwood, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services were held on Sunday, December 7, at 12:00 noon at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Greensboro, with the Rev. F. Robertson, pastor, officiating.
