Greensboro Mayor J.B. Washington presented a plaque Oct. 28 to Phillip Day of PED Services, LLC, honoring his donated time and labor to repair the city ballpark. Day’s work followed a March 25, 2025 petition from parents in the Greensboro Community Baseball League and helped complete the project for $11,883.82—saving the city tens of thousands of dollars compared with estimates of more than $100,000.
