HCSD reports arrests for domestic violence, FTA

Hale County Sheriff’s Department released the following report of the department’s recent activities:

Arrests:

May 13, 2025
Tarron Smith, 32, of Akron, was arrested for resisting arrest, domestic violence in the first degree, domestic violence in the third degree, probation violation, and attempting to elude.
James Chase Carpenter, 27, of Akron, was arrested for two counts of probation violation.
Jelisa J. Green, 31, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to appear. Javoris Deandre Shaw, 24, of Moundville, was arrested for reckless driving.

May 15, 2025
Billymack Farrell McAlpin, 31, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for failure to appear.

Jerry Lake, 37, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for domestic violence in the third degree and assault in the third degree.
Demarculas Dejwan Burrell, 44, of Moundville, was arrested for domestic violence and assault in the third degree.
Allen Christopher Vaughn, 37, of Greensboro, was arrested for possession of marijuana in the first degree and failure to appear.

Incidents:

May 13, 2025
A miscellaneous incident was reported on County Road 28 near Sawyerville.

May 14, 2025
A house fire was reported on County Road 35 near Sawyerville.

Domestic violence in the third degree and harassment were reported on Pine Hill Road near Greensboro.
