Greensboro Area Business and Tourism Association (GABTA) will begin its latest project this month with Black Belt artist Jason Irvin starting work on an exterior mural at Engle Gallery located at 1301 Main Street. The original art is being funded by an art grant from Black Belt Community Foundation with additional funding from GABTA. Jason Irvin is an artist in residence at Engle Gallery and native to the area.

“We can’t wait to see Jason’s vision come to life!” said gallery owner Eve Engle. “It has been several years since we have added a mural to our downtown. Murals add color and interest while exposing people to artists and styles they may not have seen before.”

Irvin should complete the mural in April and a reception is planned for May, with a final date and time to be announced later.
