Sawyerville man charged with menacing for alleged shotgun threat

Hale County authorities have charged a Sawyerville man with menacing for allegedly threatening someone with a shotgun. Hurtis Lee Lewis was arrested by the Hale County Sheriff’s Office and charged with misdemeanor Menacing on February 26th. Prosecutors allege through the complaint that on or about February 25th Lewis discharged his shotgun during an altercation. Bond was set in the amount of $500.
