Studio Abadir’s in Greensboro has announced a “Pasta and Pie Pop-Up” beginning February 6. Throughout the month of February, the Abadir’s cottage at 902 Whelan Street will be hosting Chef Erica Allen for a month of lunches, dinners, and cooking classes in Greensboro.
Allen, a Selma native, operates Darke Pines, a restaurant/butcher shop with her husband, Will Messmer, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Messmer will be joining Allen towards the end of her residency to offer fresh cuts of meat alongside Allen’s slate of culinary creations.
In addition to Allen’s pop-up, the Hyphae Collaborative Network, in conjunction with Highwater Incorporated, will be hosting a Valentine’s Day screening at the Abadir’s cottage, with details to follow. A selection of short films, along with a featurelength film will mark the occasion.
All food items served during the month will be take-away only. Hours of operation will be: Wednesdays through Fridays, from 11 AM to 6 PM; Saturdays, from 11 AM to 2 PM; and Sundays from 11 AM to 5 PM. Pasta-making courses are scheduled for both Saturday, February 8 and Saturday, February 15, with both beginning at 3 PM. There will also be a farewell dinner that is slated for February 22, with times and information to follow. The Farewell Dinner will be a ticketed event with limited seating. Varieties of fresh pasta, sauces, pimiento cheese, and pies will rotate from February 6 through February 24.
