A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, has claimed the life of a Sprott man. The pedestrian, Tobias G. Griffin, 39, who was in the roadway at the time of the crash, was fatally injured when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. Griffin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 11 near the 53 mile marker, approximately four miles north of Union, in Greene County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
