Javontae Tykeem Smith, a Greensboro man charged in connection with a fatal Uniontown shooting, has been indicted by a Perry County grand jury for murder.

Court records show that Smith, 23, was indicted on July 17 on one count of intentional murder and one count of reckless endangerment. His bond has been set at $150,000 cash.

The charges stem from a June 14 shooting that left Antonio Terrell Morgan, 21, dead in the front yard of an apartment building on Cobb Street in Uniontown. Investigators allege Smith fired multiple gunshots toward Morgan, striking him in the chest and causing his death. The reckless endangerment charge arises from the presence of other individuals in the vicinity at the time of the shooting, including a six-month-old baby.

Smith was arrested on June 18 and remains in custody in the Perry County Jail as of press time.
