HCSD reports arrests for child support, FTA, contraband, paraphernalia

Hale County Sheriff’s Dept. has released the follow report of the department’s recent activity:

Arrests:

June 17, 2025
Courtney Laquinn Hurt, 41, of Greensboro, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thomas Earl Martin, 33, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to pay child support (two counts).

Ashley Shontay Long, 32, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to pay child support (two counts).

Pierre Jaton Tubbs, 34, of Newbern, was arrested for failure to appear.

June 19, 2025
Jeremiah Jermain Harris, 31, of Sawyerville, was arrested for failure to pay child support (three counts) and failure to appear (two counts).

Ellis Thomas, 48, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to pay child support.

June 20, 2025
Quenton Terrell Cross, 46, of Moundville, was arrested for possession of contraband.

June 21, 2025
Keon Devonta Pope, 22, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for failure to appear.

June 22, 2025
Xavier Dwight Dudley, 29, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for possession of marijuana (second degree).

Incidents:

June 17, 2025
Domestic violence (third degree – menacing) and domestic violence (third degree – criminal mischief) were reported on Second Avenue South near Akron.

June 19, 2025
A miscellaneous incident was reported on Ford Road near Sawyerville.

June 22, 2025
Burglary (third degree) was reported on Baker Road near Gallion.
Harassment was reported on County Road 39 near Newbern.
Assault (third degree) was reported on New Hope Church Road near Sawyerville.
