Students from the University of Alabama’s MJW summer journalism workshop

Students from the University of Alabama’s MJW summer journalism workshop visited Greensboro on Thursday, June 12, to learn more about community journalism and the role of local newspapers. During their visit, the group met with John Allan Clark and Casey Roberts of the Greensboro Watchman to discuss the ongoing relevance of print and independent journalism in a changing media landscape. They also toured the Greensboro Opera House with local historian and UA professor Ian Crawford and enjoyed lunch at the Stable.
