Genova McCalpine Williams, a longtime resident of Sawyerville, passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on April 17, 1946, to Grover and Rosette Mc- Calpine and was the third of fifteen children, and the oldest daughter.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Springfield Baptist Church until her health declined. Genova was married to Junior C. Williams, and from their union came five children.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (Reginald) Morgan, Gregory (Melissa) Williams, and Kevin Williams; her grandchildren Elissia Cosby, Gregory Williams Jr., Shalandria Cosby, Tyler Williams, and Erin Williams; and her siblings Jerry (Curtis) Turnbow- Garlington, Dianna Mebane, Helen Reese, Willie Anthony (Debra) Adams, and Gillis Jerome McCalpine. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Springfield Baptist Church in Sawyerville.
