Shelton State Community College is currently seeking candidates for its inaugural Honda PACT (Professional Automotive Career Training) cohort of students.
Honda PACT (Professional Automotive Career Training) offers state-ofthe- art automotive technician training that will enable students to become Honda & Acura certified technicians. By becoming a Honda & Acura certified technician, graduates will be qualified to work at Honda & Acura dealerships around the country and earn a very competitive salary.
The Honda PACT program offers a variety of training that goes well beyond a typical automotive technology program. Students receive specialized training on Honda & Acura automobiles, training with special Honda & Acura tools & equipment, on-thejob experience at Honda & Acura dealerships, and leading industry standard certifications. Honda PACT students will tackle electrical fundamentals, engines, steering and suspension, and more. They will also be exposed to the standards, operations, and procedures used at Honda & Acura dealerships.
If accepted, Honda PACT program students will be required to complete an internship at a Honda or Acura dealership within their surrounding area. This invaluable experience will give them the opportunity to apply what they learn in the Honda PACT program to real life scenarios all while earning extra money.
Honda PACT graduates have classroom knowledge, hands-on training, work experience in a Honda or Acura dealership, and highly respected credentials.
“We are very excited about the possibilities this program will provide our students,” shared Mike Hobson, SSCC Automotive Service Instructor. “We look forward to helping train the next generation of technicians while also offering them real world experience in established shops and dealerships.”
