Celebrating National EMS Week from May 18 through 25

Communities across the country are celebrating National EMS Week, observed this year from May 18 through May 24, as a time to honor the emergency medical professionals who provide lifesaving care every day. The theme of the 2025 observance is “We Care. For Everyone.”

In Hale County, that care is exemplified by the team at Hale County EMS, led by Director Patrick Howard.

“To all who answer the call, thank you,” said Bro. Steve Vernon in a message submitted to the Greensboro Watchman. “You are where emergency care begins, and the impact you make is immeasurable. Know that your service and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.”

  • Guest music group will perform June 1 at Greensboro Bible Methodist
