HCSD reports arrests for firearm possession, DUI, domestic violence, FTA

Hale County Sheriff’s Department released the following report of the department’s recent activities:

Arrests:
April 21, 2025
Anthony Cornell Austin, 60, of Akron, was arrested for possession of a firearm by a person forbidden.

April 22, 2025
Davida Hall, 27, of Selma, was arrested for failure to appear (two counts).
Leo Kendrick Smith, 47, was arrested for possession of marijuana in the second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kayla Stratton, 34, of Greensboro, was arrested for truancy.

April 23, 2025
Timothy Tucker, 41, of Magnolia, was arrested for failure to appear (two counts).

April 24, 2025
Ronald Joe Anderson Jr., 37, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for domestic violence and assault in the third degree. Henry Aaron Moore Jr., 57, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for failure to appear (two counts).

April 25, 2025
Nathaniel T. Johnson, 76, of Sawyerville, was arrested for driving under the influence.
Darious McWilliams, 27, of Moundville, was arrested for child support.

April 26, 2025
Frank Hollie, 71, of Akron, was arrested for failure to appear (two counts).

Incidents:
April 24, 2025
Harassment was reported on County Road 55 near Moundville.

April 25, 2025
Dogs barking were reported on County Road 92 near Sawyerville.

April 26, 2025
Theft of property in the first degree was reported on Mason Bend Road near Sawyerville.
