The 3rd Annual Main Street Community Festival returns to downtown Greensboro this Saturday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a full day of local music, vendors, food, children’s activities and community celebration—all in support of critical renovations to Hale County Hospital’s Emergency Room.

Proceeds from the festival will go directly toward updating the hospital’s emergency facilities, which have not been renovated since the hospital opened in 1963. This year’s lineup features live performances from Jason Irvin, Toney Nixon, Dillon Fisher and Tyler Sellers. The Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra Education Quintet will perform a special set from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Greensboro Opera House.

Children’s events, hosted by local nonprofits and community groups, will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and include bounce houses, face painting, storytime, games, and more.

For the full schedule, musical lineup, and list of vendors and participating organizations, see this week’s Hospital Corner column on Page 2.
