Poetry and collage workshop will be April 19 at Newbern Library

Newbern Public Library will kick off their Arts Alive program this Saturday, April 19, with a free poetry and collage workshop with local poet and mixed media artist, Casey Roberts.

All ages are welcome to come from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday to create original poems and personal poetry collages. The Newbern Library will be hosting regional artists throughout the year for a series of creative arts workshops. Each workshop will feature local artists to provide opportunities for creative expression in a variety of media.

Roberts is a resident of Perry County, but originally hails from Marengo County. In addition to poetry, Roberts works in a variety of media, including textiles.
