Betty Curb Elliott, age 82, of Gonzales, Louisiana passed away at the Moundville Nursing and Rehabilitation in Moundville, Alabama on Friday, April 4th, 2025. Mrs. Elliott was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
At her request, there will be no formal services. There will be a private family celebration of life at a later date.
Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her parents Walter Allen Curb Sr. and Bessie Curb, brother Walter Curb Jr. , husbands Wayne Tidmore and James E. Elliott, son Steve Tidmore and daughter Kimberly Tidmore.
She is survived by her daughter, Gina LeBlanc (Pat), daughter-in-law Penny Tidmore, stepdaughters Leslie Mawhorter(Daniel) and Lisa Howard(Paul), grandchildren Sarah Bonds Collins, Stephanie Tidmore, Scarlett Flora(Cody) and Waylon Tidmore, 3 great grandchildren, 5 stepgrandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren, 2 sister-inlaws and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was born in Greensboro, Alabama on November 5th, 1942 where she attended Greensboro High School and Greensboro Church of Christ. She married Wayne Tidmore and had three children. She worked at People’s Bank of Greensboro where she retired. She also resided in Selma, Alabama where she was married to James Elliott until his untimely death. She lived the rest of her days in Gallion, Alabama to be close to her family. In her later years she resided in Gonzales, Louisiana until her final destination at Moundville Nursing and Rehabilitation in Moundville, Alabama.
