Friends of Hale County Animals (FHCA) is happy to announce that the Winter Spay and Neuter Clinic held on January 25, 2025 was a huge success! Over 25 animals were spayed or neutered as a result of this drive. This one drive alone will prevent the birth of thousands unwanted pets. In eight years, just one unspayed female dog and her offspring can produce 67 thousand puppies and one un-spayed female cat and her offspring can produce over two million kittens! “FHCA feels that by having these spay and neuter clinics we can directly reduce the number of unwanted animals in our county,” said FHCA vice president Frances Sullivan. “This in turn helps relieve the stress on our shelter and increase the quality of life for all.” The January 25th Spay and Neuter Clinic was made possible by a grant awarded by Black Belt Community Foundation, donors, Greensboro Vet Clinic and Payne Animal Clinic. Friends of Hale County Animals is a non-profit organization. If you would like to donate to the next spay and neuter clinic please mail donations to FHCA PO Box 311 Greensboro, AL 36744 and make a notation that your donation is for the Spay and Neuter Clinic Fund.
