HCSD reports arrests for hunting violations, DV

Hale County Sheriff’s Department released the following report of the department’s recent activities:

Arrests:
February 5, 2025
Cedric Oneal Holifield, 28, of Greensboro, was arrested for hunting on a public road and hunting after dark.
Ladarius Maiden, 26, of Uniontown, was arrested for a probation violation.

February 6, 2025
Montrell D. Ellis, 32, of Sawyerville, was arrested for domestic violence by strangulation/suffocation.
Cameron Harris, 24, of Tuscaloosa, was arrested for failure to appear.
Demond Shantel Owens, 30, of Greensboro, was arrested for domestic violence by strangulation.

February 7, 2025
Samuel Colneat Carlisle, 45, of Greensboro, was arrested for receiving stolen property in the second degree and driving under the influence.

February 4, 2025
Theft by deception in the first degree was reported on Mink Slide Road near Moundville.

February 6, 2025
Theft of property in the first degree and burglary in the second degree were reported on Highway 25 near Greensboro. Unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree was reported on Gewin Street near Akron.

February 8, 2025
Larceny/theft was reported on Highway 14 near Sawyerville.
